Lodges of Section Five

From 1988-97, Northeast Region Section Five consisted of ten lodges from New York to West Virginia and covered the western half of Pennsylvania. On June 3, 1973, representatives from eight of the lodges from Area III-B and III-F met at the Moraine Trails Council office in Butler, PA and formed Section NE-5C. The first section conclave was hosted by Nachamawat Lodge #275 at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

As a result of the Northeast Region Realignment of 1988, Monaken Lodge #103 from NE-5B and Ho-Nan-Ne-Ho-Ont Lodge #165 from NE-2C were added, making a total of ten lodges in the newly formed Section NE-5. Gyantwachia Lodge #255 hosted the first NE-5 conclave in 1989 at Custaloga Town Scout Reservation.

In 1993, Kiasutha Lodge #57 and Tanacharison Lodge #67 merged to form Enda Lechauhanne Lodge #57. As a result of the 1994 region realignment, Ahtuhquog Lodge #540, once a member of Area III-F before eventually becoming part of NE-6, joined the section. Once again Section Five had ten lodges.

The Northeast Region realigned in 1997. Section NE-5 was split into NE-4B and NE-5A. The final NE-5 conclave was held at Camp Seven Mountains, with Monaken Lodge #103 as service lodge.
